The Ajuda Foundation Community Hero Award celebrates those everyday heroes who make a difference through their kindness, compassion and community spirit.
They might be someone who regularly checks in on neighbours, organises lifts for people who need them, supports someone through bereavement or other forms of loss, or brings people together to help others.
Their contribution doesn’t have to be directly related to mental health and wellbeing, nor do they need a formal role. It’s about recognising those who make people feel supported, connected and less alone, which in itself supports mental health and wellbeing.
The Trudy Williams Award

The Trudy Williams Award was created in memory of our much-loved events manager Trudy. Trudy played a fundamental part in the creation and organisation of The Mental Health Awards & Conference. Trudy was passionate about raising awareness of mental health, and more importantly, she loved helping people improve their personal health & wellbeing.
On 10th August 2022, Trudy was involved in a car accident and was fatally injured. This Special Recognition Award will be given in memory of our beautiful friend and colleague Trudy Williams, and will be announced on the day.
