Best Mental Health Support Service

This award will go to a mental health support service that has shown and provided exceptional help to individuals through their daily actions as an organisation. This category would be suitable for helplines and help centres, support services, community hubs, charities and more.  

 

Inspirational Charitable Organisation

This award will go to a charity or social enterprise that has shown dedication, exemplified best practices, and delivered sustainable and beneficial mental health and wellbeing solutions to the communities and individuals they support. Any charity or social enterprise that supports and provides services within Wales will be welcome to apply.

 

Inspirational Leader Award

This award is for an outstanding leader committed to the improvement of mental health and wellbeing services in Wales. This leader will have demonstrated a high level of commitment and dedication to mental health and wellbeing and will be considered a visionary, improving the lives of others within their organisation.

Best Wellbeing Service

This award will go to a service that significantly improves the wellbeing of its users or clients. Any service designed to boost mental health and wellbeing would be welcome to apply here.

 

Impact in the Community

Impact in the Community recognises those who have made a difference in the lives of their community members. The award honours services that have gone above and beyond to enhance the overall wellbeing of others. We invite submissions from organisations and individuals, or support services purposefully promoting and uplifting mental health & wellbeing within their local community. 

Workplace Wellbeing Award

This award will go to a business that goes above and beyond to look after their employees’ mental health and provide a good accessible support service which has the wellbeing of their staff at its core. The business will be able to demonstrate a dedication to improving mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Please note that there will be two awards in this category: for organisations with fewer than 250 employees, and for those with 250 or more employees.

 

Outstanding Impact in Education

This award will go to an educator making a positive impact by creating an initiative or programme dedicated to improving mental wellbeing of their educational environment. The education setting or educator will have taken steps to break down barriers to discussing mental health openly and will have created an environment where pupils are encouraged to talk about their mental health and wellbeing, and feel comfortable about doing so. Nominations are encouraged for schools, colleges, universities, teachers and any person in the education sector, and also for specific projects and initiatives.

 

Inspiring Individual Award

This award is for an individual committed to improving mental health and wellbeing in their immediate community, and possibly beyond.  The individual will have shown through their actions a high level of dedication to mental health and wellbeing and will be considered by others to be a positive role model who has improved or enriched the lives of others.

 

Inspiring Young Person

This award will go to a young person aged 25 or younger who has broken down barriers and overcome a major challenge in their lives, and is now using their experience to help others tackle their mental illness. This young person may also have dedicated their time to improving the lives of others through charitable or volunteer work.

 

Best Wellbeing Product

This award will go to a product that significantly improves the wellbeing of its users or clients. Websites, directories, apps, products and support services that have been designed to boost mental health and wellbeing would be welcome to apply for this award.

 

Volunteer of the Year

This award will be presented to an individual who has freely given their time, energy and committment to help promote and assist with improving mental health services, organisations and projects that have had a positive impact throughout Wales.

 

Wellbeing Champion of the Year

This award will be presented to a wellbeing champion who promotes mental health and wellbeing within their organisation or community. Wellbeing champions offer peer support, direct people to resources, encourage open conversations aboput wellbeing, and help create a positive environment where everyone feels supported, valued, and able to manage their mental health effectively.

 

The Trudy Williams Award - Special Recognition

Trudy Williams played a fundamental part in creating and organising The Mental Health Awards & Conference, the Hub & the Mental Health and Wellbeing Show. She worked hard to raise awareness around mental health and more importantly, loved helping people improve their personal health & wellbeing.

This award is judged by our panel only, and will be presented to one of the finalists drawn from the other categories.
